COUNCIL COMMITTEES


Administration


The Administration Committee provides advice regarding accounting practices and principles, budgeting, grant administration, financial reporting, and human resources.


Charter & Ordinances


The Council Committee consists of three (3) Council members, one of whom shall serve as Chairperson. The Committee shall handle the update, revision and maintenance of the Town Charter and Ordinances.


Health & Sanitation


The Health & Sanitation Committee consists of three (3) Council members, one of whom shall serve as Chairperson. The Committee provides advice regarding all aspects of health and sanitation, including trash removal, etc.


Ways & Means


The Ways & Means Committee consists of three (3) Council members, one of whom shall serve as Chairperson. The Committee is responsible for development of financial methods to provide services to the residents of the Town


Housing & Economic Development


The Housing & Economic Development Committee provides advice to the Town Council on issues of housing, community and economic development.


Public Works


The Public Works Committee works for the continued coordination and improvement of the public works services and administration of the services provided to the Town.


Police Board


The Police Board examines public safety issues to determine how best to improve and enhance public safety in the Town.


Neighborhood Watch


The Neighborhood Watch Committee consists of three (3) members who are responsible for establishment and continued coordination of the community in the Town Neighborhood Watch Program.


Parks & Recreation


The Parks & Recreation Committee works for the continued coordination and improvement of the recreational programs and facilities for the Town.


Municipal Building


The Municipal Building Committee shall be responsible for the rental of the Community Room, and all aspects of the facility, including maintenance.


Business & Utilities Tax Revenue


This Committee examines Utility rates and implements methods to ensure accuracy and collection of revenues. This is an aspect of the Treasurer's position.


Metal Pick- Up & Tires


This Committee is responsible for the collection of, and accounting for, fees for pickup and disposal of metal and tires. This is an aspect of the Treasurer's position.


Special Assignments School


The Mayor will attend school functions and engage the students in activities of the Town.


FOREST HEIGHTS NEWS


Committee is responsible for the development and publication of the Town newsletter.


COMCAST CO-ORDINATOR


Comcast Coordinator attends monthly Comcast meetings and provides reports to residents and Council at Town Meetings.
