PLEASE COME OUT AND VOTE

            I, C. Lynn Smith-Barnes respectfully ask that you would consider me to represent you again on the Town Council. When I sat on the Council in 2003 through 2005, I never missed a Work Session, Town Meeting, Special Session or any meeting called by the Council. When I no longer sat on the Council I continued to attend all meetings. When special meetings were held, I sometimes was the only attending resident. With that in mind I can honestly say that I have kept up with the disintegration of our Town and like many of you I am appalled.

            My two years on the Council I never voted without having full disclosure of all the information. I would chair the vote until I have had time to disseminate the information given to me enabling me to even consider a vote. As a town citizen I along with you did not agree with the bulk trash tax, the rental property licence and other changes made without the vote of the citizens. Your votes, to me I consider your voice and that is what I want to hear "YOUR VOICE."

            I have and will always keep in mind my responsibilities to you. Your election of a council person is to speak for you first and then to speak with you respectively . I have read the statement of Mrs. Good all and I agree with her, I know that we as a team for WARD 1 and for Forest Heights, will put them into play "Respectfully" WORKING HAND-IN-HAND.
