VOTE MAY 11, 2005

Re-Elect

C. Lynn Smith-Barnes

WARD 1

I am seeking re-election as your Ward 1 Council representative. Progress was made on some vital issues during my first term.

Councilman Wiggers and I will continue to work hard for WARD Ito resolve the problems and issues. I will support the efforts for grant funding through State and County programs, and secure financing to repair our streets.

My family has lived in the Town for 30 plus years. I can remember the beautiful trees, the laughter of children and the friendly waves from neighbors on their porches.

Today much of the gaiety has returned to our Community with the tree planting and enjoying events in the park. Events for our Senior Citizens included a Thanksgiving Lunch (hosted by Council Members Barnes, Wiggers, Ross, Stoner ). Bid Wist and other activities in the future.

I have always talked about staring a Youth Program and in the summer of 2004, Tennis was the first program. It consisted of Elementary and Jr. High school children and it lasted 8 weeks and was a success. The Youth Program is still growing with future events to come (Basketball, Football, Softball, Trips etc).

We have had Holiday parties, Friday Movies with the Mayor. The Town Council, the Forest Heights Police Department celebrated National Night Out in Bell Acres and Forest Heights Parks.

The playground has new equipment and the baseball field will be usable soon.

As you pass the green and white banners along Indian Head Highway and Livingston Road, they define our town. I say with pride--that is where I live—that, is Forest Heights.

I would like to continue being a part of the positive changes in our Town.

Our municipal building is being refurbished to meet State and Fire codes to include, heating, cooling, disable accessible rest rooms and front entrance.

I am not a causal visitor to the town. Therefore, I would like to see an improved town as time goes on.

With your help, "we" can do it. I urge you to attend both the Informational Sessions and Town Meetings. You see-- information passed at both meetings "Go HAND IN HAND" .. .

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
