RESOLUTION 1-05

A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE FOREST HEIGHTS STRATEGIC PLAN

Introduced by: Administration Committee

     WHEREAS, the Town of Forest Heights currently does not have a strategic plan to direct its growth and future development;

     WHEREAS, the Town of Forest Heights needs a 5 to 10 year plan to guide the actions of its elected officials; and

     WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council need to communicate and receive input from Town residents and businesses on Town long term plans;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland hereby agree to adopt the Strategic Plan as developed and presented by the Administration Committee to guide its decision making on future activities, and;

    (a) The Strategic Plan will be updated on an annual or more frequent basis; and,

    (b) The Strategic Plan will be available for public inspection and comment at the Municipal Building.

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
