RESOLUTION NO. 2-04

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ESTABLISHMENT OF LINES OF CREDIT FOR THE TOWN OF FOREST HEIGHTS

Introduced by: TOWN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the Town believes it is necessary to establish lines of credit with certain providers of goods and services for the benefit of the Town of Forest Heights; and

WHEREAS, in the past it has been necessary for Town employees to purchase goods and services using their personal funds;

WHEREAS, in the past it has been necessary to reimburse Town employees for the use of their personal funds for the benefit of the Town;

WHEREAS, the Town believes it is necessary to create mechanisms to enable the Town to purchase goods and services on credit;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland hereby agrees to enter into credit relationships with the following:

1. Bank of America VISA card for use by the Mayor and Council members for travel related to Town business.

2. Duron Paints for the purchase of tools, equipment, materials and supplies necessary for maintenance of Town facilities

3. Cycle & Turf for the purchase of tools, equipment and materials for the maintenance of Town parks and common grounds.

4. Home Depot for the purchase of tools, equipment, materials and supplies necessary for maintenance of Town facilities.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
