RESOLUTION NO. 2-05

A RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCING PROGRAM

Introduced by: TOWN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the streets of the Town of Forest Heights are in dire need of repair;

WHEREAS, the State of Maryland offers a bond program to enable municipalities to borrow necessary funds at a low interest rate;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland that the Town of Forest Heights will submit an application to participate in the Local Government Infrastructure Financing Program in the amount in an amount not to exceed $2.0 Million, payable over 20 years, for the purpose of repairing the Town streets.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
