RESOLUTION NO. 04-05

A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR

THE SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM

Introduced by: Parks & Recreation Committee

    WHEREAS, the Town of Forest Heights has received a $10,000 grant from the Office of Councilman Tony Knotts, District 8, for recreation programs; and

    WHEREAS, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has requested funding assistance from the town to purchase the arts and crafts supplies and sports equipment for the summer playground program;

    WHEREAS, the summer playground program will be held at Forest Heights Elementary School and Flintstone Elementary School;

    NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland hereby agrees to provide the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission an amount not to exceed $1,000 in support of the summer playground program to be used at Forest Heights Elementary School and Flintstone elementary School.

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
