RESOLUTION 9-06

A RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER FUNDS BETWEEN APPROPRIATIONS IN FY06
BUDGET

INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Myles Spires, Jr.

ENACTED:

WHEREAS, Section 33-46 of the Charter of the Town of Forest Heights states that no money may be expended without having been appropriated by the Council; and

WHEREAS, Section 33-47 of the Charter of the Town of Forest Heights states that any transfer of funds between major appropriations for different purposes by the Mayor must be approved by the Council before becoming effective; and

WHEREAS, Section 33-48 of the Charter of the Town of Forest Heights forbids the overexpenditure of appropriated or transferred funds;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that $11,250 from line item 5011 be transferred to line items 5120, 5300, 5575 in the amounts of $3,664.42, $2,035.53, and $5500.05, respectively.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that line item 5300 (Part-Time Receptionist 2) be designated as the category specified for payment of an Independent Investigator to conduct a comprehensive administrative inquiry into the governmental and financial affairs of the Town of Forest Heights;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and shall remain in effect indefinitely.
