RESOLUTION 15-04

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE BUYOUT OF THE UNIFIRST

CORPORATION CONTRACT FOR RENTAL OF UNIFORMS FOR THE

FOREST HEIGHTS PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND FOR THE

PURCHASE OF THE UNIFORMS AT A ONE-TIME COST

Introduced by: Public Works Committee

WHEREAS, the Forest Heights Public Works Department is now renting uniforms at a minimum average cost of $49.67 on a weekly basis for 4 employees;

WHEREAS, there are 243 weeks remaining on the contract at a total cost of $12,069.81; and

WHEREAS, the Forest Heights Public Works Department can buy out the remainder of the Unifirst Corporation contract at a total cost of $1,899.80, which does includes the purchase of 5 sets of uniforms to be maintained by the public works employees;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Forest Heights, Maryland hereby agrees to the buyout of the Unifirst Corporation contract for the one-time purchase of uniforms.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
