Dear Mayor Noble,

      First, I would like to thank you and the Town Council for the honor of serving as your Police Chief. As a police officer, the advancement to chief of Police is one of the highest levels a person can achieve in the Law Enforcement profession.

      Unfortunately, due to family and personal reasons, I must inform you of my intent to end my tenure as your Chief.

      Therefore, please accept my resignation effective two weeks from today's date. I must say, serving the residents of Forest Heights has been an experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
