George F. Wiggers

for the office of

Councilman, Ward I

I am running for the office of Forest Heights Councilman, Ward I. I have served previously as a Council member in 2000-2002.

I believe it to be a citizen’s duty to serve the community to the best of one’s capabilities. During my prior term on the Council I was instrumental in the Town obtaining a grant for the reconstruction of Talbert Road, and promoted citizen involvement with the Town. I established a website,

where I posted not only news of events occurring within the Town, but I also posted the Town’s newsletters, charter and ordinances, and other information that would help citizens understand their rights and be informed about the Town government.

If elected to the Council, I will advocate the Town being run on a business-like basis. I will work with my colleagues on the Council to ensure the Town’s basic services of police protection, health and sanitation, and road maintenance are conducted efficiently and in a manner responsive to the needs of the Town’s citizens.

I believe the Town Council should follow the rules set in the Town Charter for the conduct of its business and will promote that philosophy as a member of that body.
