Hello Neighbor:

My name is Mary Wimbush. I live at 5813 Sachem Drive, and have been a Forest Heights resident the past 20 odd years. I am running for Mayor and hope you will vote for me on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.

Those of you who attend the Town meetings regularly may recall that it was I who brought Myles Spires' three or more social security numbers to public attention. Having already notified the State's Attorney General of this fact, I thought it prudent to bring it up at the Town meeting. It was then, and ONLY then, that Andrea McCutcheon wisely notified the State that our property tax money was being stolen and otherwise mis-managed and guided all attention away from herself, Stoner and other council members. She has openly admitted that she turned Spires in because of statements that I made in the meeting. What I want you all to remember is that McCutcheon and Stoner ALWAYS supported and assisted Spires in everything he did to destroy our Town and steal our money.

Most of you do not know me. I believe in truthful actions and words; possess and demonstrate a high regard and respect for others and their property and possessions; am professional in my business dealings and associations; do not steal or lie and I do not support those who do. I do not want, support or appreciate mis-use of my or your property tax money and believe that you and I have that much in common.

There are only two (2) candidates for mayor in this election who can honestly say that they had nothing to do with the political upheaval and theft of money that Forest Heights has suffered since the 2005 elections: Quincy Hines and Mary Wimbush. We are the only two candidates that you should consider trusting to run our Town's business for the next two years.. Here are two significant reasons why you should eliminate Stoner and McCutcheon as choices in this election: 1) They each supported and voted to receive salary increase to $5000 (council) and $10,000 (mayor) per year despite the fact that the Town is broke; and 2) they each still support extending their terms in office – in fact McCutcheon, who was appointed by Spires is serving a three year term on what they say was reverted to two years, and the current Council is in agreement with that.

You can rest assured that I was not a part of, nor did I support, the prior administration. What I can tell you is that before there is anything critical in the way the Town does business, I will create an Opinion Forum and invite your opinion. You are tax payers and you deserve to have a say in the direction that this Town is headed. I promise you that I will immediately work to establish a good relationship with the Council; present a workable budget; cut down on waste in the police department and make sure that our police officers are more visible; improve our trash collection and environmental condition; and try real hard to create activities for our youth and senior citizens. I will not work in a tunnel vision or steal your money. I will keep you informed. Most and foremost, I will work to get our Civil Rights back and restore respect and integrity to the Town of Forest Heights. Further, I am willing to forego the salary for Mayor until such time as the Town is up and running well again (when asked at the Forum, McCutcheon said "NO" she would not give up her salary and mentioned the increase). In the meantime, I will urge the Council to restore the old salaries for the Council and Mayor.

Please Choose and VOTE for me MARY WIMBUSH for Mayor on May 9th. Thank you!
